Renotive is an online platform dedicated to property renovation, design and build. Renotive brings together home professionals, sellers of home goods, homeowners, renters, and design enthusiasts. Through Renotive, people can find design ideas, advice, products, and services related to home renovation, design and build. 

This Privacy Policy describes what personal information we collect, how we use this information, how this information may be shared, and what choices and rights you have with respect to this information. Access and use of our Platform is subject to this Privacy Policy.

Our “Platform” is made up of Renotive and other sites, apps, products, and services on which this Privacy Policy is posted and that are Renotive-branded or operated by Renotive, including our plug-ins, embedded content made available on other sites, and browser extensions.

The terms “we,” “us,” or “our” refer to Renotive Inc., a Delaware corporation, located at 405 Lexington Ave, New York, NY 10174, United States. The "Renotive Group" refers to corporate affiliates of Renotive Inc. By “you,” we are referring to visitors and users of any part of our Platform.

Personal Information We Collect

We collect personal information that you provide us, from third parties, and automatically when you use our Platform. We collect information associated with your device using cookies and similar technologies. We may also receive information about your location.

Information You Provide Us

We collect information that you provide us, including your account and profile information, content you submit or post to our Platform, your purchase information, your communications, and information you provide to us as part of surveys and contests.

Account and Profile Information. When you create an account on our Platform, we collect information you provide us, like your name, email address, interests, gender, age, and profile information. If you are a professional or vendor, you may also provide us information related to your business, including a business description and areas served.

Content You Submit. We collect information and content that you submit, post to, or create in our Platform, including your photos, comments, reviews, searches, photo notes, ideabooks, discussions, project details and costs, style preferences, and as a professional or a vendor, other types of content provided for in our Renotive Professionals, project management tools, and Renotive Vendors.

Purchases. If you purchase or sell products or services or make or receive payments within our Platform, we collect certain information in order to complete your purchases, sales, and payments, such as your phone number, address, and payment method (for example, credit card or bank account information).

Communications. When you communicate with us (via email, phone, through our Platform, or otherwise) and when you use our Platform to communicate with others, we may record, monitor, or otherwise collect details about your communications (including call time, and call duration). Certain professionals and vendors on our Platform may choose to use our call tracking feature in order to better manage their business. You are using our Platform when you make calls to these professionals and vendors using their phone number displayed on our Platform. We will provide you notice or obtain your consent in accordance with applicable law before recording or monitoring any of these calls. Otherwise, to the extent you communicate with professionals, vendors, and other users outside our Platform, those communications are not subject to this Privacy Policy.information at one of these events, we will use it for the purposes for which it was collected.

Surveys and Contests. If you participate in our surveys, contests, or promotions, we will collect the information you provide to us.

Information from Others

We collect information that others make available to us, including information from other platforms, publicly available information, information from other users of our Platform, information from our partners, service providers, and corporate affiliates, and information from third-party sites.

Other Platforms. We may receive information about you from third-party platforms when you allow the third-party platform to share this information with us or allow Renotive to obtain this information from the third party. For example, you may sign-up for our Platform through Facebook, Google, or Apple; upload your contacts from your third-party email service; use our Platform (or a third-party integration on our Platform) to manage your calendar on another platform or to manage and send communications (e.g., email or text messages).

Publicly Available Information. If you are a professional or vendor, we may collect information about you from publicly available sources and where permitted by applicable law or with your permission, make it available as part of our Platform. For example, we may receive your name and contact information from industry associations and dealer networks in which you participate and display your affiliation with these organizations. We also may collect and display the details of any license you have using publicly available records.

Other Users and Customers. Others may post content on our Platform that includes information about you (for example, as part of photos, stories and reviews) or provide us your information in connection with using our Platform (e.g., to manage their business, organize photoshoots of their projects, participate in referral programs, and to advertise through our Platform). In order to enhance the quality of our Platform, professionals and vendors on our Platform may provide us information about your engagement with them, including whether you have contacted them or responded to them, whether your project has been completed, and whether you have received a product you have ordered. If you are a professional or vendor, Platform users and visitors may provide us with feedback and public reviews about you.

Our Partners and Service Providers. We may receive information about you from our partners and service providers. For example, our payment processors may update your payment information, advertising partners may help us send communications to your address, and third parties may help us prevent fraud by verifying your contact information. 

Renotive Group. Subject to the privacy policies of our corporate affiliates and in accordance with applicable laws, we may receive information about you from them.

Cookies, Web Beacons, and Personalized Advertising. We, as well as third parties that provide content, advertising, or other functionality on the Services, may use cookies, pixel tags, local storage, and other technologies (“Technologies”) to automatically collect information through the Services. Technologies are essentially small data files placed on your device that allow us and our partners to record certain pieces of information whenever you visit or interact with the Services.

  • Cookies. Cookies are small text files placed in visitors’ device browsers to store their preferences. Most browsers allow you to block and delete cookies. However, if you do that, the Services may not work properly.

  • Pixel Tags/Web Beacons. A pixel tag (also known as a web beacon) is a piece of code embedded on the Services that collects information about users’ engagement. The use of a pixel allows us to record, for example, that a user has visited a particular web page or clicked on a particular advertisement. We may also include web beacons in e-mails to understand whether messages have been opened, acted on, or forwarded.

Analytics. We may also use Google Analytics and other service providers to collect information regarding behavior and demographics on our Services. Automatically Collected Information. Each time you access the Platform, information is sent to our server by your Internet browser or app and stored in our log files. We collect information about your use of our Platform, including your search activity, the pages you view, the date and time of your visit, and if you use our browser extensions, the content you interact with on third-party sites (for example, if you save an image from a third-party site to your Renotive account), and how you navigate and interact with a page or screen. We also collect information that your device provides to us in connection with your use of our Platform, such as your browser type, type of device, browser language, IP address, mobile carrier, unique device identifier, and requested and referring URLs.

Location Information. We will receive your device's location if you enable this through your browser or mobile device. We may infer your general location from your IP address. You may also choose to provide us your location information by inputting this information in our Platform, including in your Renotive settings, or when you checkout as a shipping or billing address.

Use of Information

Renotive processes personal information for a variety of business purposes, including:

To provide the Services, Products, or Information Requested.

  • Fulfill our contract with you;

  • Manage your information;

  • Process your payment card and/or other financial information to facilitate your use of the Services;

  • Respond to questions, comments, and other requests;

  • Provide access to certain areas, functionalities, and features of our Services; and

  • Answer requests for customer or technical support.

Administrative Purposes.

  • Pursue legitimate interests, such as direct marketing, research and development (including marketing research), network and information security, and fraud prevention;

  • Measure interest and engagement in the Services;

  • Develop of new products and services;

  • Improve our products and Services;

  • Ensure internal quality control and safety;

  • Verify individual identity;

  • Carry out audits;

  • Communicate with you about activities on the Services and changes to our agreements;

  • Prevent and prosecute potentially prohibited or illegal activities;

Marketing Our Products and Services. Renotive may use personal information to tailor and provide you with content and advertisements. Renotive may provide you with these materials as permitted by applicable law. If you have any questions about our marketing practices or if you would like to opt out of the use of your personal information for marketing purposes, you may contact us at any time.

De-identified and Aggregated Information Use. Renotive may use personal information and other information about you to create de-identified and/or aggregated information, such as de-identified demographic information, de-identified location information, de-identified or aggregated trends, reports, or statistics, or other analyses we create. De-identified and aggregated information is not personal information, and we may use and disclose such information in a number of ways, including research, internal analysis, analytics, and any other legally permissible purposes.

Your Communications on the Services. We may, either directly or through third party service providers, review, scan, or analyze your communications with other users exchanged via the Platform for fraud prevention, risk assessment, regulatory compliance, investigation, and customer support purposes. We may also scan, review or analyze messages for research and product development purposes to help make matching, bidding and user communications more efficient and effective, as well as to debug, improve and expand product offerings. We will not review, scan, or analyze your communications for the purpose of sending third party marketing messages to you. We will use automated methods to carry out these reviews or analyses where reasonably possible. However, from time to time we may have a human manually review these communications. By using the Services, you agree that Renotive, in its sole discretion, may, either directly or through third party service providers we engage to provide services to us, review, scan, analyze, and store your communications, whether done through automated means or manually by a human.

Sharing Content with Friends or Colleagues. Our Services may offer various tools and functionalities. For example, we may allow you to provide information about your friends through our referral services. Our referral services may allow you to forward or share certain content with a friend or colleague, such as an email inviting your friend to use our Services.

Technologies. Our uses of such Technologies fall into the following general categories:

  • Operationally Necessary. This includes Technologies that allow you access to our Services that are required to identify irregular behavior, prevent fraudulent activity and improve security or that allow you to make use of our functions;

  • Performance Related. We may use Technologies to assess the performance of our Services, including as part of our analytic practices to help us understand how our visitors use the Services;

  • Functionality Related. We may use Technologies that allow us to offer you enhanced functionality when accessing or using our Services. This may include identifying you when you sign into our Services and keeping track of your specified preferences or past pages viewed;

  • Advertising or Targeting Related. We may use first-party or third-party Technologies to develop and deliver content, including ads relevant to your interests, on our Services or on third-party sites.

Consent. Renotive may use personal information for other purposes that are clearly disclosed to you at the time you provide personal information or with your consent.

Disclose Your Information

Sharing with Other Members and Users. We may share personal information with other Members and Users of Renotive in order to provide the Services. For example, if a User submits a Project, we will share a list of Members that the User may review and contact. Similarly, if a Member and a User enter into an agreement, we may share personal information about each party with the other. In addition, if you are a Member using an account that is shared by your organization, we may share your information with other members of that organization.

Service Providers. We may share any personal information we collect about you with our third-party service providers. The types of service providers to whom we entrust personal information include service providers for:

  • The provision of the Services;

  • The provision of information, products, and other services you have requested;

  • Marketing and advertising;

  • Payment processing;

  • Customer service activities; and

  • The provision of IT and related services.

Third Party Services. With your permission, third party services and/or applications may access your personal information. We use standard OAuth (open authorization) to enable you to give permission to share your personal information with other services and applications, such as Facebook and LinkedIn (e.g., when you agree to a pop-up requesting you to allow another application to access your account information). We also use OAuth to allow us to share information about you that is stored by us without sharing your security credentials.

Affiliates. We may share personal information with our affiliated entities.

Business Partners. We may provide personal information to our relevant business partners. For example, if a business partner refers you to our Services and you make an action, we may share your personal information with that business partner. We may also provide your personal information to our business partners to provide you with a product or service you have requested. In addition, we may provide personal information to business partners with whom we jointly offer products or services.

Rewards, Contests, and Promotional Programs. If you participate in our rewards, contests, sweepstakes, competitions, and promotional programs we may share your personal information with our various third-party promotional and marketing partners, including without limitation, businesses participating in our various programs.

Interest-Based or Personalized Advertising. Through our Services, Renotive may allow third-party advertising partners to set Technologies and other tracking tools to collect information regarding your activities and your device (e.g., your IP address, cookie identifiers, page(s) visited, location, time of day). These advertising partners may use this information (and similar information collected from other services) for purposes of delivering personalized advertisements to you when you visit third party services within their networks. This practice is commonly referred to as “interest-based advertising” or “personalized advertising.” If you prefer not to share your personal information with third party advertising partners, you may follow the instructions below.

APIs and Software Development Kits. We may use third party APIs and software development kits (“SDKs”) as part of the functionality of our Services. APIs and SDKs may allow third parties including advertising partners to collect your personal information to provide content that is more relevant to you. Disclosures to Protect Us or Others. We may access, preserve, and disclose your personal information if we believe doing so is required or appropriate to:

  • Protect your, our or others’ rights, property, or safety;

  • To collect amounts owed to us;

Merger, Sale, or Other Asset Transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing due diligence, reorganization, bankruptcy, receivership, purchase or sale of assets, or transition of service to another provider, then your information may be sold or transferred as part of such a transaction as permitted by law and/or contract.

Communications

An essential part of our services that you sign up for when you create an account on our Platform is to receive communications from the Renotive group through email and our Platform. If you use our mobile app or provide us with your cell phone number, these communications also include text messages and push notifications. We communicate with you about your account, privacy, and interactions with your content (for example, if others "like" your Ideabook, respond to your comment, or if you earn a badge on our Platform). We also ask for your feedback about your experience in connection with our Platform or about your home renovation and design plans or build process. In accordance with applicable law, we may send you marketing communications (e.g., with tips, offers, and similar services) from the Renotive group. These communications may feature us, our Platform, co-branded products and services, professionals, vendors, and other businesses on our Platform.

If you provide us your phone number, we may call and otherwise contact you to help you with using the Platform (e.g., to discuss your home remodeling or design project, to find professionals, or to assist with your order or if you are a professional, to find products or to provide you tips about your professional profile). If you are a professional, vendor or other business, we may use your contact information (whether publicly available or provided to Renotive) to call and otherwise contact you about our Platform, including to market and sell our products or services or those available on our Platform.

You may change your communication preferences at any time through your Renotive settings. To opt-out of our text messages at any time, you can follow the instructions provided in the text message, which typically is to reply “STOP.” You may opt-out of sales and marketing phone calls from us by letting us know during the call or by contacting us as described in the Contact Us section. Your communication preferences on Renotive are independent and generally will not affect or change the communications you receive through the other portions of the Platform. Please be aware that you cannot opt-out of receiving account- and privacy-related messages from us. If you wish to stop receiving push notifications from us, you can turn off push notifications for the mobile application in the settings of your mobile device.

Our Platform also allows you and others to send messages and make calls in our Platform, share content with others outside our Platform, and if you make your contact information available, for others to contact you outside of our Platform.

Your Choices and Rights

We respond to all requests we receive from individuals wishing to exercise their data protection rights in accordance with applicable data protection laws. We may ask you to verify your identity in order to help us respond to your request securely and efficiently.

Even where not legally required, we will use reasonable efforts to complete requests to access or delete your personal information. You may request to receive a copy of your Renotive information through your Renotive settings. You may access both your Renotive information by contacting us as provided in the Contact Us section. To request permanent deletion of your personal information, please contact us as described in the Contact Us section.

To edit your personal information, you can manage your profile on our Platform, as well as your Renotive settings. You may also contact us about correcting or updating your personal information (including your marketing preferences) using the methods provided in the Contact Us section. We will consider your request in accordance with applicable laws.

Account Termination and Data Retention

Unless you are a professional or vendor on Renotive, you can deactivate your Renotive account at any time by going to your Renotive settings. To deactivate your account as a professional or vendor on Renotive, please contact us as described in the Contact Us section. When you deactivate your account, you will cease to provide ongoing or future data to us that is associated with your account. Your Renotive profile will no longer be accessible on the Platform but in accordance with applicable law and the Renotive Terms of Use, your photos, reviews, and other content may still be available through our Platform. In order to request permanent deletion of the personal information associated with your account, please contact us as described in the Contact Us section.

We will keep your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which we are processing your personal information unless the law permits or requires us to retain your personal information for a longer period. For example, we may need to keep your personal data for quality assurance purposes for our Platform or to defend future legal claims. We also will retain de-identified information after your account has been deleted. Information you have shared with others will remain visible after your account has been deactivated or deleted and after the information has been deleted from your own profile or account. We do not control information or content that others have copied out of our Platform. Please note that copies of information that you have updated, modified, or deleted may continue to reside in our systems for a period of time, and we may maintain copies of this information as part of our business records.

Children

Our Platform is intended for general audiences and is not directed to people under the age of 18 (or other age as required by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from people under the ageof 18. In the event that we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age 18, we will take appropriate steps to delete that information. If you become aware or believe that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us as provided in the Contact Us section.

Data Security

We use reasonable and appropriate measures to protect your personal information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction, taking into account the risks involved in the processing and the nature of the personal information.

Updates to this Privacy Policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. The most current version of our Privacy Policy will govern our use of information about you. If we make material changes to our Privacy Policy, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on our Platform or by other means, to offer you an opportunity to review the changes before they become effective. You may opt-out of this disclosure of your data for commercial purposes in your Rentoive settings. As provided in our Terms of Use, use of the Renotive Platform by anyone under 18 years of age is strictly prohibited. Consequently, we do not knowingly disclose information regarding individuals under 18 years of age to third parties in exchange for consideration.

In addition to the rights described above and in the Your Choices and Rights section, California consumers may also, up to twice every 12 months and subject to certain exceptions, request us to provide information about how we have used and shared your personal information in the prior 12 months. Please submit these requests for information, as well as requests to access or delete your information, through your privacy settings, or by emailing us at info@renotive.com.

Your authorized agent may submit a request to know, delete, or opt out on your behalf via this online support form or by emailing us at info@renotive.com. We may still require you to directly verify your identity and confirm that you have provided the authorized agent permission to submit the request. Whether you submit your request directly or through an authorized agent, generally, the only means Renotive has to verify your identity is for you:

  • To respond to a specific Renotive email from the email address associated with your Renotive account;

  • To click a confirmation or similar button in a specific Renotive email from the email address associated with your Renotive account; or,

  • To submit your request from your logged-in account.

Location Information. We will receive your device's location if you enable this through your browser or mobile device. We may infer your general location from your IP address. De-identified and aggregated information is not personal information, and we may use and disclose such information in a number of ways, including research, internal analysis, analytics, and any other legally permissible purposes.

Your Communications on the Services. We may, either directly or through third party service providers, review, scan, or analyze your communications with other users exchanged via the Platform for fraud prevention, risk assessment, regulatory compliance, investigation, and customer support purposes. We may also scan, review or analyze messages for research and product development purposes to help make matching, bidding and user communications more efficient and effective, as well as to debug, improve and expand product offerings. We will not review, scan, or analyze your communications for the purpose of sending third party marketing messages to you. We will use automated methods to carry out these reviews or analyses where reasonably possible. However, from time to time we may have a human manually review these communications. By using the Services, you agree that Renotive, in its sole discretion, may, either directly or through third party service providers we engage to provide services to us, review, scan, analyze, and store your communications, whether done through automated means or manually by a human.

Sharing Content with Friends or Colleagues. Our Services may offer various tools and functionalities. For example, we may allow you to provide information about your friends through our referral services. Our referral services may allow you to forward or share certain content with a friend or colleague, such as an email inviting your friend to use our Services.

For example, if a User submits a Project, we will share a list of Members that the User may review and contact. In addition, if you are a Member using an account that is shared by your organization, we may share your information with other members of that organization.

Service Providers. We may share any personal information we collect about you with our third-party service providers. The types of service providers to whom we entrust personal information include service providers for:

  • The provision of the Services;

  • The provision of information, products, and other services you have requested;

  • Marketing and advertising;

  • Payment processing;

An essential part of our services that you sign up for when you create an account on our Platform is to receive communications from the Renotive group through email and our Platform. If you use our mobile app or provide us with your cell phone number, these communications also include text messages and push notifications. We communicate with you about your account, privacy, and interactions with your content (for example, if others "like" your Ideabook, respond to your comment, or if you earn a badge on our Platform). We also ask for your feedback about your experience in connection with our Platform or about your home renovation and design plans or build process. In accordance with applicable law, we may send you marketing communications (e.g., with tips, offers, and similar services) from the Renotive group. These communications may feature us, our Platform, co-branded products and services, professionals, vendors, and other businesses on our Platform.

If you provide us your phone number, we may call and otherwise contact you to help you with using the Platform (e.g., to discuss your home remodeling or design project, to find professionals, or to assist with your order or if you are a professional, to find products or to provide you tips about your professional profile). If you are a professional, vendor or other business, we may use your contact information (whether publicly available or provided to Renotive) to call and otherwise contact you about our Platform, including to market and sell our products or services or those available on our Platform.

You may change your communication preferences at any time through your Renotive settings. To opt-out of our text messages at any time, you can follow the instructions provided in the text message, which typically is to reply “STOP.” You may opt-out of sales and marketing phone calls from us by letting us know during the call or by contacting us as described in the Contact Us section. Your communication preferences on Renotive are independent and generally will not affect or change the communications you receive through the other portions of the Platform. Please be aware that you cannot opt-out of receiving account- and privacy-related messages from us. If you wish to stop receiving push notifications from us, you can turn off push notifications for the mobile application in the settings of your mobile device.

Our Platform also allows you and others to send messages and make calls in our Platform, share content with others outside our Platform, and if you make your contact information available, for others to contact you outside of our Platform.

Your Choices and Rights

We respond to all requests we receive from individuals wishing to exercise their data protection rights in accordance with applicable data protection laws. We may ask you to verify your identity in order to help us respond to your request securely and efficiently.

Even where not legally required, we will use reasonable efforts to complete requests to access or delete your personal information. You may request to receive a copy of your Renotive information through your Renotive settings. You may access both your Renotive information by contacting us as provided in the Contact Us section. To edit your personal information, you can manage your profile on our Platform, as well as your Renotive settings. You may also contact us about correcting or updating your personal information (including your marketing preferences) using the methods provided in the Contact Us section. We will consider your request in accordance with applicable laws.

Account Termination and Data Retention

Unless you are a professional or vendor on Renotive, you can deactivate your Renotive account at any time by going to your Renotive settings. To deactivate your account as a professional or vendor on Renotive, please contact us as described in the Contact Us section. When you deactivate your account, you will cease to provide ongoing or future data to us that is associated with your account. Your Renotive profile will no longer be accessible on the Platform but in accordance with applicable law and the Renotive Terms of Use, your photos, reviews, and other content may still be available through our Platform. In order to request permanent deletion of the personal information associated with your account, please contact us as described in the Contact Us section.

We will keep your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which we are processing your personal information unless the law permits or requires us to retain your personal information for a longer period. For example, we may need to keep your personal data for quality assurance purposes for our Platform or to defend future legal claims. We also will retain de-identified information after your account has been deleted. Information you have shared with others will remain visible after your account has been deactivated or deleted and after the information has been deleted from your own profile or account. We do not control information or content that others have copied out of our Platform. Please note that copies of information that you have updated, modified, or deleted may continue to reside in our systems for a period of time, and we may maintain copies of this information as part of our business records.

Children

Our Platform is intended for general audiences and is not directed to people under the age of 18 (or other age as required by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from people under the ageof 18. In the event that we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age 18, we will take appropriate steps to delete that information. Through Renotive, people can find design ideas, advice, products, and services related to home renovation, design and build.

Communications. Affiliates. We may share personal information with our affiliated entities.

Business Partners. We may provide personal information to our relevant business partners. For example, if a business partner refers you to our Services and you make an action, we may share your personal information with that business partner. We may also provide your personal information to our business partners to provide you with a product or service you have requested. In addition, we may provide personal information to business partners with whom we jointly offer products or services.

Rewards, Contests, and Promotional Programs. If you participate in our rewards, contests, sweepstakes, competitions, and promotional programs we may share your personal information with our various third-party promotional and marketing partners, including without limitation, businesses participating in our various programs.

Interest-Based or Personalized Advertising. Through our Services, Renotive may allow third-party advertising partners to set Technologies and other tracking tools to collect information regarding your activities and your device (e.g., your IP address, cookie identifiers, page(s) visited, location, time of day). These advertising partners may use this information (and similar information collected from other services) for purposes of delivering personalized advertisements to you when you visit third party services within their networks. This practice is commonly referred to as “interest-based advertising” or “personalized advertising.” If you prefer not to share your personal information with third party advertising partners, you may follow the instructions below.

APIs and Software Development Kits. We may use third party APIs and software development kits (“SDKs”) as part of the functionality of our Services. APIs and SDKs may allow third parties including advertising partners to collect your personal information to provide content that is more relevant to you. Disclosures to Protect Us or Others. We may access, preserve, and disclose your personal information if we believe doing so is required or appropriate to:

  • Comply with law enforcement or national security requests and legal process, such as a court order or subpoena;

  • Protect your, our or others’ rights, property, or safety;

  • To collect amounts owed to us;

Communications

An essential part of our services that you sign up for when you create an account on our Platform is to receive communications from the Renotive group through email and our Platform. If you use our mobile app or provide us with your cell phone number, these communications also include text messages and push notifications. We communicate with you about your account, privacy, and interactions with your content (for example, if others "like" your Ideabook, respond to your comment, or if you earn a badge on our Platform). We also ask for your feedback about your experience in connection with our Platform or about your home renovation and design plans or build process. In accordance with applicable law, we may send you marketing communications (e.g., with tips, offers, and similar services) from the Renotive group. These communications may feature us, our Platform, co-branded products and services, professionals, vendors, and other businesses on our Platform.

If you provide us your phone number, we may call and otherwise contact you to help you with using the Platform (e.g., to discuss your home remodeling or design project, to find professionals, or to assist with your order or if you are a professional, to find products or to provide you tips about your professional profile). If you are a professional, vendor or other business, we may use your contact information (whether publicly available or provided to Renotive) to call and otherwise contact you about our Platform, including to market and sell our products or services or those available on our Platform.

You may change your communication preferences at any time through your Renotive settings. To opt-out of our text messages at any time, you can follow the instructions provided in the text message, which typically is to reply “STOP.” You may opt-out of sales and marketing phone calls from us by letting us know during the call or by contacting us as described in the Contact Us section. Your communication preferences on Renotive are independent and generally will not affect or change the communications you receive through the other portions of the Platform. Please be aware that you cannot opt-out of receiving account- and privacy-related messages from us. If you wish to stop receiving push notifications from us, you can turn off push notifications for the mobile application in the settings of your mobile device.

Our Platform also allows you and others to send messages and make calls in our Platform, share content with others outside our Platform, and if you make your contact information available, for others to contact you outside of our Platform.

Your Choices and Rights

We respond to all requests we receive from individuals wishing to exercise their data protection rights in accordance with applicable data protection laws. We may ask you to verify your identity in order to help us respond to your request securely and efficiently.

Even where not legally required, we will use reasonable efforts to complete requests to access or delete your personal information. You may request to receive a copy of your Renotive information through your Renotive settings. You may access both your Renotive information by contacting us as provided in the Contact Us section. To request permanent deletion of your personal information, please contact us as described in the Contact Us section.

To edit your personal information, you can manage your profile on our Platform, as well as your Renotive settings. You may also contact us about correcting or updating your personal information (including your marketing preferences) using the methods provided in the Contact Us section. We will consider your request in accordance with applicable laws.

Account Termination and Data Retention

Unless you are a professional or vendor on Renotive, you can deactivate your Renotive account at any time by going to your Renotive settings. To deactivate your account as a professional or vendor on Renotive, please contact us as described in the Contact Us section. When you deactivate your account, you will cease to provide ongoing or future data to us that is associated with your account. Your Renotive profile will no longer be accessible on the Platform but in accordance with applicable law and the Renotive Terms of Use, your photos, reviews, and other content may still be available through our Platform. In order to request permanent deletion of the personal information associated with your account, please contact us as described in the Contact Us section.

We will keep your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which we are processing your personal information unless the law permits or requires us to retain your personal information for a longer period. For example, we may need to keep your personal data for quality assurance purposes for our Platform or to defend future legal claims. We also will retain de-identified information after your account has been deleted. Information you have shared with others will remain visible after your account has been deactivated or deleted and after the information has been deleted from your own profile or account. We do not control information or content that others have copied out of our Platform. Please note that copies of information that you have updated, modified, or deleted may continue to reside in our systems for a period of time, and we may maintain copies of this information as part of our business records.

Children

Our Platform is intended for general audiences and is not directed to people under the age of 18 (or other age as required by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from people under the ageof 18. In the event that we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age 18, we will take appropriate steps to delete that information. If you become aware or believe that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us as provided in the Contact Us section.

Data Security

We use reasonable and appropriate measures to protect your personal information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction, taking into account the risks involved in the processing and the nature of the personal information.

As provided in our Terms of Use, use of the Renotive Platform by anyone under 18 years of age is strictly prohibited. In addition to the rights described above and in the Your Choices and Rights section, California consumers may also, up to twice every 12 months and subject to certain exceptions, request us to provide information about how we have used and shared your personal information in the prior 12 months. Your authorized agent may submit a request to know, delete, or opt out on your behalf via this online support form or by emailing us at info@renotive.com. We may still require you to directly verify your identity and confirm that you have provided the authorized agent permission to submit the request. Whether you submit your request directly or through an authorized agent, generally, the only means Renotive has to verify your identity is for you:

  • To respond to a specific Renotive email from the email address associated with your Renotive account;

  • To click a confirmation or similar button in a specific Renotive email from the email address associated with your Renotive account; or,

  • To submit your request from your logged-in account.
